GSI TO DONATE VIRTUALVAULT™ PROCEEDS
TO JEWELERS FOR CHILDREN
New York, April 15, 2010 – Gemological Science International (GSI) announced that it will donate a portion of the proceeds from its VirtualVault™ to the Jewelers for Children.
“We have supported Jewelers for Children since our firm’s inception, because we believe in giving back part of our success to a worthwhile industry cause. In today’s tough economic times, we are renewing our commitment by donating a portion of VirtualVault™ registration fees.” says Debbie Azar, GSI’s Executive VP and member of JFC’s Fundraising Committee.
GSI created VirtualVault™ as an innovative new consumer service to protect its gem and jewelry grading reports. Available for a one-time fee, the service guarantees a permanent registration of each GSI certification and online secure access to reports.
Each time consumers register with VirtualVault, they will protect their jewelry purchases and send “a gift of love for children in need.” Jewelers for Children is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization that helps children who are victims of catastrophic illness of life-threatening abuse or neglect. Since 1999, the charity has raised $32 million from the jewelry industry.
GSI is an independent gemological laboratory that markets its grading and certification services to manufacturers, major jewelry chains, department stores, and online jewelers. The company is headquartered in New York City’s Diamond District at 581 Fifth Avenue.
