When jewelry, rather than loose diamonds, is submitted to the laboratory, the weights and dimensions are measured manually.

Our graders use electronic digital gauges to measure the diamonds and then estimate the weight by using a formula. An experienced grader’s estimation is typically within 5% of the actual weight.
